The initiative aimed to promote accessible healthcare services for the local community. With the presence of experienced medical professionals, the camp offered essential health check-ups and medical consultations â completely free of cost.

Pragjyotishpur University had the privilege of organizing an exclusive seminar for its faculty members, featuring two distinguished experts â Prof. Prithwijit Guha, Associate Professor, IIT Guwahati, and Mr. Pankaj Choudhury â who shared valuable insights into emerging trends in technology-driven research. Prof. Guha delivered an engaging session on âVideo Analytics: Recent Trends & Applicationsâ, offering in-depth perspectives on the rapidly evolving field of video technology and its transformative impact across various sectors. This was followed by Mr. Pankaj Choudhuryâs thought-provoking presentation on âExploring Semantic Attributes for Image Caption Synthesis in Low-Resource Assamese Languageâ, based on his research published in ACM TALLIP. His talk emphasized the significance of artificial intelligence in promoting and preserving indigenous languages like Assamese through advanced image processing techniques.

Pragjyotishpur University in collaboration with the National Research Centre on Pig (NRC), Rani, and Vidya Bharati Shiksha Sanskriti Trust, Hajongbari, held a Piggery Food Distribution Programme to promote rural empowerment and sustainable piggery practices. Fresh piggery products and educational materials on hygienic animal husbandry were distributed, with NRC experts highlighting pig farmingâs nutritional and economic benefits for underprivileged rural households. Distinguished guests included Shri Avnish Bhatnagar (Vice President, Vidya Bharati), Dr. Vivek Kumar Gupta (Director, NRC), and Dr. Pranab Jyoti Das (Principal Scientist, NRC), emphasizing the integration of research, education, and community development. Prof. Dr. Jogesh Kakati, Registrar of Pragjyotishpur University, stressed translating knowledge into action, while Vidya Bharati representatives highlighted the role of education and community service in grassroots transformation. The event concluded with interactive sessions and a communal meal. Shri Sanchi Ram Payeng of Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam, delivered the vote of thanks. Pragjyotishpur University organized Varsity Week 2025' from February 20 to 22, where students participated with great enthusiasm. The event commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony. followed by an inaugural speech by Professor (Dr.) Suresh Kumar, Dean of the School of Pharmacy. The program included a variety of games and competitions that encompassed physical, mental, and intellectual activities. Students participated in events such as running races, tug of war, volleyball, football, cricket, badminton, kabaddi, and long jump. Additional competitions included javelin throw, spoon and marble race, as well as writing contests. Students showcased their talents in essay writing, poetry, art/poster competitions, extempore speech, debate competitions, and quiz contests. Cultural performances featured folk music, Jyoti Sangeet, and Bhupendra Sangeet. The enthusiastic participation of students highlighted their unbreakable spirit, determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship. "Varsity Week' not only fostered a spirit of competition among students but also provided them with an opportunity to showcase their talents collectively.
